The company is privately owned by three individuals who work full time in the business with no equity partnering from any Caterpillar dealer or Caterpillar entity.
The software solutions that we license, implement and support are specifically designed for a Caterpillar dealer, making them ideal business solutions for the Cat dealer community. Canam brings their experience in the software business by providing customer support and software assurance program as key components. Dealers can confidently implement our business applications knowing that full customer support is provided. Canam Solutions was founded in May 2006 to bring to market the business applications originally developed by a Caterpillar dealership. Over the past 3 years, Canam has commercialized these products to make them applicable for multiple Caterpillar dealerships – from small to large – and incorporated many changes and enhancements to the products to allow dealers to configure them for their own use. The company:
- Has an exclusive world-wide sales & marketing agreement for all their software products
- Provides implementation and customization services for all dealer implementations
